WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
The University of Arizona Women’s Wheelchair Basketball team is the only collegiate women's wheelchair basketball program in the state of Arizona and currently ranks fourth in the nation after hosting the 2026 NWBA Intercollegiate National Championships at the McKale Memorial Center. Led by an all-Paralympian coaching staff featuring Head Coach Josie Aslakson and Assistant Coach Courtney Ryan, the program brings together a highly diverse and elite talent pool. Wildcat student-athletes train daily in Campus Recreation’s state-of-the-art facilities in order to compete for a national title and prepare for international opportunities. More than just an elite sports program, the team serves as a community that empowers adaptive student-athletes to earn a college degree and further their careers off the court.
