ADAPTIVE ATHLETICS GYM

 

The University of Arizona Adaptive Athletics program features a dedicated adaptive fitness center designed to support the training and wellness goals of disabled athletes and community members. The facility is equipped with accessible, wheelchair-friendly equipment, and knowledgeable staff are available to help individuals create personalized fitness plans. Whether for short-term goals or ongoing training, the center offers assessments and customized programs to meet each person’s unique needs.

A variety of weight lifting and conditioning equipment is available:

  • Upper tone exercise equipment
  • Equalizer multi-station machines
  • "Vita Glide" Designed for people with SCI
  • SCI Fit upper and lower body ergometers
  • Nu Step recumbent stepper
  • Free weights
  • Cuff Weights/Exercise mats 
  • Concept 2 Adaptive Cross country ski erg
  • Concept 2 Adaptive rowers

In addition to our fitness center, students have access to weight training equipment at the Campus Recreation Center
