Support Adaptive Athletics

Adaptive Athletics actively recruits top athletes from around the U.S. and abroad. To recruit and retain our most promising student athletes, we offer a range of scholarships. Some of our scholarships come directly from fundraised dollars.

Why Give

Over the past 50 years the University has helped hundreds of students living with disabilities realize their academic and athletic goals. Recruiting student-athletes from around the world we provide a unique opportunity that is not offered anywhere else in the world. People from around the world visit our program to learn from our administrators, coaches and athletes. We believe in the power of sport to provide a crucial inroad to higher education and community that keeps students connected and engaged through graduation. We believe that sport has the power to change perspectives of individuals and community on how they view all people with disability. Disabled Individuals constitute approximately 19 percent of the U.S. population. Only 16.4 percent of disabled individuals graduate with a college degree, and only 17.8 percent of disabled individuals engage in sports or physical activity.

Disability is an aspect of diversity, integral to our society and the University of Arizona community. We are proud that many players from our program have gone on to become working professionals in a variety of fields including pharmacy, research and education. We are a powerhouse in wheelchair sports, and all funds received go directly to our athletes.
